Supriya Sankaran  is the Founder of Vayam and a Director of Ashoka Innovators for the Public (India), the worlds largest network of social entrepreneurs driving systemic change. Over the last eight years at Ashoka, she led the Venture and Fellowship Program, through which she launched over 100 social entrepreneurs, redesigned Ashoka's Fellowship Support Program and co-created collaborative initiatives such as the Wellbeing Project. Prior to joining Ashoka, she was a Principal Associate at Amarchand Mangaldas, New Delhi where she led several capital market transactions. She has a keen interest in solving for issues relating to access to justice and in creating a gender equity world. In her spare time, she dabbles with yoga and baking. With a firm belief in systems approach towards problem solving, she has extensively worked in the realm of policy and advocacy with Central and State governments across school education, urban governance and employability with organisations like Teach For India, Janaagraha Centre for Citizenship and Democracy, Quest Alliance. There she assisted on cases of sexual harassment, police misconduct, employment and housing discrimination and prisoner’s rights. She completed her Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology and Politics from New York University in 2016. On campus, she was involved in residential life services, where she spearheaded mental health and wellbeing programs and campaigns.
